Preview of the new Symbian UI from Symbian
Recently, Nokia Markets Day revealed some interesting targets, and forecasts of things to come from Nokia in 2010 onwards, and the most highlighted aspect of these around the web is that of the New UI from Symbian. It's a long time overdue too, with S60 UI really starting to look outdated, and far less appealing to many of its competition.
I have included a video sample below from Nokia Markets Day, where Niklas Savander gives us a very small peak into what this UI will look like, but as you will see from the video, there really is not that much to see, with a complete lack of realtime demo of the UI, just showing screenshots. Either this means the UI is far from primetime, or is still in heavy development. Nokia was tight-lipped at Nokia House recently when I asked about the new UI, so lets hope Nokia can keep its promises, which include several targets and forecasts.(After the break).
Niklas states that this new UI from Symbian will have more WOW factor that its competitors, and will not only enhance the User Interface, but also also the user Experience, which he points out are both completely different, and both essential.
