When you focus on a number in the phone book, just touch the green sign at the left-down (out of the screen),
then select which sim to make your call (if you have two sim card).

This phone is a copy i bought mine from shanghai in china for 500 rmb (£50) the phone is very good i am pleased with it it came with all the bits and bobs and a 4gb memory card. Remember: just because it is written "nokia" on it ( as u're stating urself), doesn't mean it's a genuine item...there are lot of fake gucci, ray ban and other very good luxury items imitations out there..........................

I just got a "nokia" n97i, and so far it seems alright. I want to know more about the features, so I figure since it's a copy of the n97 or n97 mini (or close to it anyway), I'm going to download that user manual and see what I can learn about my phone. Perhaps that would also help some other people?
I'm afraid that user manual of real n97 or n97 mini doesn't work with this fake n97i. it just looks similar, the software and functions are totally different.

The problem is as follows when the screen displays:
Call1 = The Caller Line Identification (CLIP) function was not activated by your service provider. Contact your service provider and ask them to activate the CLIP. +- R9,50 per month.
Number Calling xxxx = The Caller Line Identification (CLIP) function is activated but you probably have the same number (person) saved more than once on your phone. Delete one entry and the name of the caller will reflect on the screen when calling.

Take the back cover , battery and the pen out, then use a very small Philips screw driver to unscrew the 4 screws on each corner and then Gauntley lift the the back cover and remove slowly be careful don't break the 2 wire connected to the cover.

for unlock keypad you must click on your camera button. and than on your screen will write slide to unlock. so you must press that. and if you want to do not lock your keypad, you must go in the menu- settings- security setup- auto keypad lock- none

I found it. the only action that you can do is set your number just as the same as number that you got. I mean when you save your favorite numbers in your phone book, you have to save them just the same as you got the numbers when you have the call or message from.

I have bought my Nokia N97i from China. Here in India I try my GPRS activation its not getting activated. It gives the error code 502. The IP add has three digits to input viz. 000.000.000.000 , but my service provider states the IP add as 10.10.01.100. How can I possibly make use of GPRS facility. Pls guide.
